The view is overwhelming and one cannot imagine a project on Oberrüti that does not celebrate that fact. More: Here on the hilltop, behind the edge of the terrain lies a softly shaped plain whose spatiality is determined by the embracing forest. The aspiration lies in the undisturbed relationship between the landscape space, its users and residents. Today's landscape is characterised by intensive monoculture. Biodiversity and the richness of the larger habitat are at the beginning of the project: in the enhancement of the long forest edge (and into the depth of the forest), in the creation of habitat for grass snakes and sand lizards, in the rerouting of the trail through an extensive meadow for all. The development shall be the catalyst for a noticeable enhancement here.
The landscape reaches right up close to the buildings. For the public, the neighbours and the inhabitants, the landscape is both the physical separation and the spatial binding element. The development keeps the landscape free of gardens, paths and access roads (and correspondingly of artificial light, pavements and movements).
