The Technical University of Eindhoven campus has undergone a transformation, part of which is the construction of 300 student housing units. The 14-storey residential high rise consists of two mutually shifted slabs. At the point of offset (this being both ends of the corridor), the stair and common external spaces are placed. The entire supporting structure, including earthquake walls, ceilings and stairs, are prefabricated (as the plumbing units). The concrete facade consists of load-bearing sandwiched elements. Its strict order makes reference to the gridded facades found along the campus. The outermost face of the elements is entirely coarsely sanded, which exposes the abstractness of the grid and emphasises the material - a wink to Hugh Maas Kant Provinciehuis Noord-Brabant.
