Kleinbruggen experiences a dense overlapping of cultural layers: Landscape, industrial residue, infrastructure, memories of Sunday walks in the "Rheinfels" dancing, agricultural use and, last but not least, the omnipresence of the military. The area opens up for living. It is characteristic of living areas to whitewash the existing beyond recognition. On the other hand, living here should enter into a specific relationship to the landscape. The penetration of the landscape into the housing estate (and vice versa), the inclusion of the topography as a spatial element as well as the "platforms" which are slightly raised in relation to the landscape are the central moments of the proposal; dense, urban living forms are the counterparts to the common landscape.
